Food plays the most important role in our life. We can not live without eating and even we will die if we do not eat anything just in 3 days. Food provides us energy to work,learn and research. So having a healthy diet is very important for a long and active life.There are many types of foods for us to choose.Basing on the origin of food,there are three kinds of food: food from plants,from animals and from the compound of plant and animal.
Firstly, plant foods are the foods that are made from plants such as fruits,vegetables and cereals.To have fruits and vegetables,we have to sow the seed into the soil or use their roots to plant them and take care of them every day.Fruit is one of the many foods we get from plants.Some fruits are orange,apple,pear, strawberry, water melon, banana...They are usually eaten raw,some varieties can be cooked.They come in a wide variety of colour,shapes and flavours for you to choose.Vegetables are cucumber, potato, cabbage, carrot, onion, bean, soy, salad, tomato...They are often cooked,some eaten raw(salad,cucumber). Fruits and vegetables are necessary to our daily diet.Different fruits and vegetables contain different nutrients.They are naturally good and contain Vitamins and mirerals that can help to keep us healthy.Fruits and vegetables include Vitamin A, D,lutein (green vegetables), E, C (orange, lemon,some kinds of vegetables), magnesium, zinc, phosphorus and folic acid.Plant foods are low in fat, salt and sugar.They provide a good source of daily nutrients.They help reduce obesity and maintain a healthy weight, lower our cholesterol or blood pressure and even protect against diseases such as stroke or heart disease.Besides, they also contain other compounds which help keep our body healthy.Moreover, scientists recommend that 2 kinds of fruits and 5 kinds of vegetables every day can help us sleep and concentrate better.Scientific research shows that if we regularly eat a lot of fruit and vegetable, we will have a healthy and long life.
Secondly,animal foods include any food item that comes from an animal source such as meat ,beef, lamb,chicken,fish,sea animals, eggs,milk...We can eat every organs of the animals because different animals contain different nutrients.Animal foods contain important nutients for our health.They are rich in potein(sea food,meat,beef,eggs...), fat(milk,cheese,..), Vitamin A(fish,sea food) ,phosphorus and nitrogen(fish,milk,eggs,..),amino acids,...In a meal, meat,fish,beef, chicken and sea food include the largest amout of nutrients.Milk and eggs which are products from cows and hens help us to gain weight easily.In detail, milk can be modified with water and help children taller,stronger, healthier and not be malnourished; the white of eggs contain about 80% water, 20% albumen,a small amout of fat and some salts that help to balance the nutrients.Eating a lot of fish makes us more and more intelligent because it is less stimulating than meat and easier to digest and oxidize.So fish is recommended for brain workers.Food from animals are good for our body,teeth and born.Honestly,they are the most important kind of food that help us protect diseases.They can help us to balance the daily diet,supply us the energy to study and work effectively.
Thirsly,plant and animal foods are the food which are made from both plants and animals such as bread,cake,biscuits,birthday cake...They contain the animal fat and some kinds of plants.The materials to make these types of food are rice,wheat,corn,oat meal...( from plants,cereals) and milk,eggs( from animal).For example,we can use the mixture of mochi or rice flour and some eggs,some cheese and milk to make the birthday cake.This kind of food is not as much as 2 kinds of food above,however,it provides us a large amout of impotant energy.We use cake,biscuits in many parties.Most of them are use for the breakfast,especialy bread.Combined with milk,this food help us to keep body healthy and gain weight quickly.By eating bread,cake and milk evey day,we will have an active life.
In short,food can come from plant, animal or the compound of them.All of these foods are essential to our life.A nutritious meal should include enough nutrients.Eating vegetable,meat,fish milk and fruit every day to help us heathier and balance our life.!
